Who We Are

Michael Trickey

Managing Director

Mr. Trickey is Managing Director of the Berkshire Group, LP. He is a co-founder and Managing Director of Berkshire Advisors, LLC and of BancCap Advisors, LLC. Mr. Trickey is a nationally recognized expert in the asset-backed securitization market; He has over 23 years experience in the mortgage industry. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Household Financial Services and AMRESCO Residential Credit. As a consultant, Mr. Trickey has worked with originators, buyers, servicers, and Wall Street firms to create unique securitization structures and facilitate complex transactions. He has appeared frequently on industry-sponsored panels concerning sub-prime mortgage securitization techniques, and has developed comprehensive, risk-adjusted pricing systems to evaluate sub-prime mortgages and other less-than-prime assets.

Mr. Trickey is a CPA. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from The Ohio State University and a MBA in Financial Management from The University of Chicago.

Peter Crouchley

Principal

Mr. Crouchley is a co-founder and Principal of Berkshire Advisors LLC and BancCap Advisors LLC. Mr. Crouchley has 15 years of mortgage and structured finance related experience. Prior to Berkshire and BancCap, Mr. Crouchley was President of Kore Advisors LP in New York City, the sole investment advisor to Kore Fixed Income Fund Ltd., a fixed income relative value investment fund. Mr. Crouchley was responsible for new business development with respect to private capital investments, investor relations and general business operations. Prior to Kore, Mr. Crouchley was a principal of Praxis Investment Advisors LLC. At Praxis, Mr. Crouchley managed portfolios of special situation asset-backed securities, mortgage whole loans and government guaranteed loans. In addition, Mr. Crouchley arranged the warehouse lending facilities that financed the various portfolios. Prior to Praxis, Mr. Crouchley was Executive Vice President of Harbourton Reassurance Inc, an annuity reinsurance company. At HRI, Mr. Crouchley managed a portfolio of CMO's, MBS, ABS, FHA/VA whole loans, commercial whole loans, US Treasuries and Eurodollar Futures. Also at HRI, Mr. Crouchley completed a resecuritization of distressed ABS securities and placed the investment grade rated securities with investors. Prior to HRI, Mr. Crouchley worked at Financial Security Assurance, Inc, a monoline insurer and Salomon Brothers Inc., a primary broker/dealer and investment bank.

Mr. Crouchley has a BA from State University of New York at Albany.

Janis Nagobads

Finance Manager

Janis' work focuses on financial modeling, reporting and analysis on Banccap Advisors' securitizations.

Prior to joining BancCap Advisors, Janis spent three years as a financial analyst with the consulting firm Berkshire Group LP.

Previously Janis worked as a journalist for an international journal of economics and as a foreign correspondent for a radio station in Eastern Europe.

Janis holds a B.A. in International Business from Concordia International University Estonia and a MBA with concentration in Finance from Depaul University.
